July 4 (NBD) -- Chinese software provider DHC Software Co., Ltd. (002065.SZ) said on an investors’ relationship platform that the company's applications for patents relating to blockchain technologies is now pending.

In the blockchain sector, the company had spent 60 million yuan (9 million U.S. dollars) in R&D and has a research team of over 200 people as of mid-January. Meanwhile, the establishment of its research institute on blockchain technology is in process.

So far, its R&D in the niche segment hasn't yielded any income. Uncertainties still remain as the application of blockchain technologies is subject to a variety of factors including regulatory policies.
