June 21 (NBD) -- AVIC Capital Co., Ltd (600705.SH) announced Thursday that its controlling shareholder Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) increased stakes in the listed company by 4.99 million shares through auction trading Wednesday.

AVIC and its persons acting in concert now hold 4.481 billion shares in AVIC Capital, equivalent to 49.93 percent of the latter's capital stock.

Given the strong confidence in AVIC Capital, AVIC plans to further buy shares worth 50-300 million yuan (7.7-46.4 million U.S. dollars) in the listed company within the next six months starting from the date of the announcement.
