June 11 (NBD) -- China National Nuclear Power Co Ltd (CNNPC, 601985.SH) has signed 362-million-U.S. dollar framework contracts with Russia-based Joint-Stock Company Atomstroyexport (JSC ASE) to jointly build new power units in Tianwan nuclear power plant and Xudabao nuclear plant. The plants will adopt JSC ASE's VVER-1200/V491 reactors, which are expected to run for 60 years. 

According to the contracts, CNNPC will conduct general plan design as well as conventional island and BOP design.

The framework contracts will not have a significant impact on its performance this year, said the company.
