China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have conducted cooperation in sectors like oil, gas, clean energy, industry, finance and infrastructure, and will further strengthen ties in technology and human resources, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said Thursday.
The meeting of the 6th China-UAE Joint Economic Committee was held on Wednesday in Beijing, and led by China's Commerce Minister Zhong Shan and Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy of the UAE, according to MOFCOM.
Bilateral trade between China and the UAE stood at 23.6 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months, an increase of 1.30 percent on a yearly basis, MOFCOM data showed.
China's direct investment in non-financial sectors in the UAE rose 9.76 percent year-on-year to 321 million U.S. dollars during the period from January to July, said MOFCOM.
