Fabienne Mansencal, Consul General of the Republic of France in Chengdu, SW China's Sichuan province

Fabienne Mansencal, Consul General of the Republic of France in Chengdu, said in an interview with NBD that the Sino-France Ecological Park established in Chengdu in April is one of the cooperative focuses between China and France.

It's been less than 1 year since Ms. Fabienne Mansencal took the position last September. But she said that she has witnessed fast advances in cooperation between China and France. Data show that as of this June, the import and export volume between China's Sichuan province and France amounted to 233 million U.S. dollars, up 17% year on year, of which Chengdu, as the provincial capital, made large contributions.

The Sino-France Ecological Park in Chengdu has become increasingly attractive for French enterprises. When asked about how to deepen the cooperation between France and China and Chengdu in particular, Fabienne Mansencal gave a simple answer: integrate organically China's  "Made in China 2025" and France's “Industry of the Future”. The Sino-France Ecological Park in Chengdu is a cooperative focus between China and France in the future.

Fabienne Mansencal told NBD that the Sino-France Ecological Park in Chengdu is a non-traditional industrial park built with a new concept. It consists of industries, residence and businesses which roll up into one. More accurately, it should be called "a green smart city".

NBD notices that currently there are three Sino-France ecological parks in China. Besides the one in Chengdu, the other two are located in Wuhan and Shenyang.

According to Fabienne Mansencal, the Sino-France Ecological Park in Chengdu embodies the epitome of the cooperation between China and France. Fabienne Mansencal also introduced that southwest China has become the home to over 50 French enterprises which majorly involve in retail, automobile, aviation, agriculture and sideline, high-end luxury industry and other industries.

Fabienne Mansencal added that in the future French Consulate General in Chengdu will continue to introduce French enterprises to the Sino-France Ecological Park in Chengdu. The park will develop into a home to state-owned and private, micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises.
