Ford Motor Company appointed Tuesday Stephen Dyer as the vice president for strategy, Asia Pacific, aiming to transform itself into a company of automobile manufacturing and mobile travel.

Before joining Ford, Stephen Dyer is a partner of a consulting company, Bain & Co. He has 20 years of deep consulting experience in industries including automobile, industrial product and high technology.

After taking the position, Stephen Dyer will lead in the strategic design and planning in core automobile businesses, emerging mobile travel sector and investment partnership development.

Ford Motor Company once launched "Ford Credit Link", a pilot lease-sharing program and other mobile travel projects.

Ford Credit Link allows three to six customers to share a lease, scheduling their driving time and dividing payments any way they liked.
