CHENGDU, Feb.22 (NBD) -- According to the report provided by Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, the wholesale price of raw milk is on the rise while retail price drops slightly.

Wholesale price of fresh milk on the international market also rise across the board. Statistics show that the price of butter, de-fat milk powder and whole milk powder posted month-on-month growth rates of 5.4%,1.7% and 4.7% in America, EU and Oceania. It is mainly caused by the shortage of milk supply worldwide.

Due to rising costs, Yangtang Milk has notified distributors to raise retail price of its dairy products. The growth rate is about 2% to 3%. The price hike in packing materials also pushed up milk price.
