CHENGDU, Jan.22 (NBD) -- China Internet Network Information Center released its 39th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China today.

According to the report, as of December 2016, China has 731 million internet users, 695 million mobile internet users, and 344 million who watch live stream videos, accounting for 47.1% of the total.

The number of internet users at rural regions keeps growing, but the digital divide between China's cities and rural villages still looms large.
