CHENGDU, Jan. 16 (NBD) -- The protection of intellectual property rights (IPRs) was listed among national key special plans in China for the first time.

The State Council recently issued the 13th five-year plan on the protection and utilization of IPRs.

The plan sets forth seven priorities: improving IPRs laws and regulations; enhancing IPRs protection; increasing quality benefits of IPRs; boosting the construction of provinces and cities with an edge in IPRs; speeding up the building of enterprises with the competence in IPRs; promoting industry upgrading and development; and accelerating IPRs-related cooperation.
