CHENGDU, Jan. 9 (NBD) -- Lu Tiecheng, director of Chengdu Science and Technology Bureau, said on Sunday that another 4 industry technology research institutes are to be established in Southwest China's Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province. 

Five industry technology research institutes, in areas such as rail transit, information security, precision medicine, big data, and Tsinghua Energy Internet Research Institute together with Sichuan province, have been created over the past year. Quite a few universities, enterprises and districts or counties are showing desire to establish research institutes. 

"We have currently more than 10 fields for selection, including biomaterial, integrated circuit and new material," said Lu.
