CHENGDU, Dec. 30 (NBD) -- China expects e-commerce transactions to hit 40 trillion yuan (about 5.77 trillion US dollars) by 2020. 

Online retail sales are expected to reach 10 trillion yuan (about 1.44 trillion US dollars), and the number of e-commerce practitioners is anticipated to hit 50 million by then. 

The goals are specified in the 13th five-year plan for e-commerce released by the Ministry of Commerce, Office of the Central Leading Group for Cyberspace Affairs, and National Development and Reform Commission.
