CHENGDU, Dec. 28 (NBD) -- From January to November, the trade volume between china and countries along the "Belt and Road" stood at 848.9 billion US dollars, accounting for 25.7% of China's total foreign trade over the same period, according to China's Ministry of Commerce. Export amounted to 523.4 billion US dollars and import 325.5 billion US dollars.
In the meantime, China has been promoting bilateral investment with countries along the Belt and Road.
From January to November, China directly invested 13.4 billion US dollars in countries along the Belt and Road, taking 8.3% of China's total overseas investment. China signed contracts of foreign projects worth 100.4 billion US dollars with those countries, up 40.1% year on year.
With regard to inbound investment, in the first 11 months this year, countries along the Belt and Road established 2,472 new enterprises in China, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%. The actual use of foreign capital hit 6.3 billion US dollars.
