
CHENGDU, Dec. 27 (NBD) -- China plans to invest 1.8 trillion yuan (about 259 billion US dollars) in fixed assets of highways and water transport in the coming year, according to China's Ministry of Transport.
New expressways of 5000 km will be built.
According to the Ministry, in the first 11 months this year, the completed investment in railways, highways, water transport and civil aviation reached 2.57 trillion yuan (about 370 billion US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 7.7%.
