CHENGDU, Dec. 8 (NBD) -- Innovation and entrepreneurial activity in Shanghai is growing increasingly international, with more and more foreigners starting their businesses here in Shanghai.

According to the information released on the official website of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, 18 maker-space (including Yangfu Technology Business Incubator, Xnode, 23Seed), 5 institutions (including Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, Pudong International Talent City) are nominated as “initial stop for startups”. These maker-space and institutions offer total factor allocation service for multinational cooperation and business incubation to attract overseas innovation projects and talents.

As of Thursday, cooperative bases and institutions of “initial stop for startups” program have facilitated the establishment of 138 international projects, held 295 international events, and fostered cooperation with 170 overseas partners.
