Recently, some users have reported that after updating to the newly released iOS 17.5 system, photos that had been deleted for years reappeared. A reporter learned from a technical advisor at Apple customer service that they have indeed received similar feedback from some users. However, the specific cause is still under further investigation by Apple.

“If such issues occur after the update and the photos can be deleted again, then it indicates there is no problem,” the technical advisor further stated. Users need not worry about their data privacy security because even if photos have been uploaded to iCloud, Apple cannot view them. As a next step, Apple will address the issue through software updates or other releases.
