A NIO user posted on social media about picking up their new car. The photo shared shows that the tail logo on the new NIO vehicle has changed from “JAC Motors” to the “NIO” inscription. This indicates that NIO has received approval for its car manufacturing qualification and has completed the production line switch. It is no longer using JAC Motors’ manufacturing qualification and has begun delivering new cars under the NIO name.

On April 16th, NIO stated there was no comment available. A spokesperson for JAC Motors responded to journalists saying that JAC Motors will continue to collaborate with NIO, but the cooperation will not be in the field of contract manufacturing; instead, it will be in other areas, such as cooperation in the battery swapping field. Industry experts pointed out to reporters that JAC Motors’ future collaborations with Huawei and Volkswagen are noteworthy.
