Since its debut on March 28th, Xiaomi's SU7 electric vehicle has drawn comparisons to Porsche due to its striking resemblance. Netizens have even dubbed it the "Mi Porsche." When asked about the similarities, Porsche China President and CEO Jens Puttfarcken remarked, "When it comes to the resemblances between the Xiaomi SU7 and Porsche, I believe that perhaps good design simply resonates."

Meanwhile, Citigroup has released a report suggesting that Xiaomi could face an average loss of 6,800 yuan (approximately $1,000) per SU7 sold in 2024. In response, Xiaomi Group Chairman's Special Assistant and China Marketing Vice President Xu Jieyun took to Weibo to clarify that the information could be significantly inaccurate. He pointed out that the Citigroup auto analyst report, released on April 2nd, might have underestimated the strong sales performance of the Xiaomi SU7.
