On March 24, Rock Records announced that Taiwanese singer-songwriter Cheng Hua Jiuan passed away on March 21 at the age of 60. Rock Records revealed that after obtaining the consent of Cheng Hua Jiuan's husband and eldest brother, they were saddened to release the news of her death. Her funeral are currently being handled by her relatives and friends in Germany.

Cheng Hua Jiuan was known as the "talented singer". In addition to singing pop songs herself, she also wrote songs for other singers. In her over 30-year career, she has released over 100 works, including the popular songs: "Feel Wronged" by Tao Jingying, "Tears of Mona Lisa" by Lin Zhixuan, "I Just Want You to Love Me" by Su Youpeng, "Youth Travel" by Youke Li Lin, "Love is This Road" by Pan Yuyun, "Smart and Confused Heart" by Chen Shuhua, "Angel and Dolphin" by Liang Yongqi, "Lonely Bowling" by Zhang Huimei, "Childish" by Wanfang, and "Single Room Double Bed" by Karen Mok.

Cheng Hua Jiuan was also the discoverer of Jeff Chang Shin-Che who was then a sophomore when singing a song called "Understanding Heart" at a competition. As a judge, she then recommended Jeff Chang Shin-Che to Rock Records.

According to reports, Cheng Hua Jiuan met her husband Michael while traveling in Europe at the age of 22. After marriage, she settled in Germany with her husband. In addition to continuing to write songs, she also started writing, sharing her love of coffee and bits and pieces of German life with her readers.

Upon the news of Cheng Hua Jiuan's death, many singers have expressed their condolences. Zhang Qingfang responded through her agent Chen Zhenchuan, quoting Cheng Hua Jiuan's famous song "Heaven": "Back to heaven, no more pain, one day we will meet again and sing a song of 'Heaven'."

A-mei Chang also expressed her sadness, saying: "I am very shocked and very sad. I pray that she will be like an angel, free flying in the sky,just like in her songs. "

Zheng Yi, who had known Cheng Hua Jiuan since the 1980s, posted on Weibo, "I remember when I went to Taichung to perform, I would go to Hua Juan's house to sit and chat. It was a very cute old-fashioned bungalow, very atmospheric." She also recalled, "She was the literary and artistic singer of that era, with fair skin and super temperament."

Wan Fang also mourned, saying: "I was really shocked and saddened by the news. I can only express and commemorate in this way."
