The rumble of concrete mixers could be heard outside as workers poured cement into the square steel frame that had been erected on the ground. Inside the store, the workers were busy with their own tasks.

This was the scene that NBD saw on a recent visit to the Xiaomi Auto 2S store under construction in the Xianglong Bori Automobile Park in Chaoyang District, Beijing.

"The wall painting and lighting in the store has almost completed," a worker said. "The interior decoration of the store is scheduled to be completed by March 15."

It is noted that the Xiaomi Auto 2S store under renovation was originally a Dongfeng Nissan 4S store. There are no obvious Xiaomi Auto signs on the exterior of the store yet, and there are still Dongfeng Nissan promotional pages, posters, and roof signs.

The person in charge of the renovation project on-site told NBD that the store is based on an original Nissan dealership. They will keep the original framework, but change the wall color, the wiring, and the metal panels on the glass wall. The renovation cost is about 1 million yuan. The store will also install a new Xiaomi Car sign and card. The installation will start on March 15 and finish by the end of March.

Xiaomi's first car, the SU7, has been a hot topic in the industry since its debut. Recently, there have been reports that the Xiaomi SU7 will be officially launched on March 28, but this news has not been confirmed by Xiaomi.

Several employees of the Xianglong Bori Automobile Park told NBD that the above-mentioned Xiaomi 2S store may officially open at the end of March. This may mean that the new Xiaomi SU7 car will arrive at the store by the end of March.

NBD learned from an informed person that the Xiaomi SU7 had already started mass production in December 2023. "The Xiaomi SU7 is undergoing comprehensive road tests nationwide, and (Xiaomi) is currently making intensive preparations for the launch of the Xiaomi SU7."
