A car that “hit the highway as soon as it was assembled” is how Dong Yuhui described his new account “With Hui”, which started broadcasting only 20 days ago.

The new account was born at the peak. On the evening of January 31, superstar Andy Lau and director Ning Hao visited the With Hui live room, and 300,000 movie tickets were sold out in an instant; Besides, Dong Yuhui sold 82,600 sets of "People's Literature" in 4 hours on January 23, breaking the record of single-book sales in the live room.

The car is just assembled, and the body is still not strong enough. On January 12, the live room stopped broadcasting for a day because "there was nothing to sell", and many industry insiders believed that this phenomenon also reflected the immaturity of With Hui in product selection.

What’s more, Yang Fan, a knowledge-based blogger with over 2.35 million fans on TikTok, recently posted two videos claiming that Dong Dong, one of the hosts of With Yuhui, plagiarized his contents.

Later, Dong Dong said in the live broadcast that he might use other people’s works when explaining art, "no offense intended", which seemed to respond to the plagiarism storm. 

On February 1, NBD found that the With Hui account had deleted the controversial video clips. Regarding this, East Buy told NBD that there was no response at the time being.

In this regard, a former host of East Buy told NBD on January 31 that being a knowledge-sharing host on a platform like East Buy means reading a lot of second-hand materials and "fast food products". "Such (suspected plagiarism) behavior is not entirely the responsibility of the host. A host who broadcasts 2-4 hours a day can never rely on complete reading, independent thinking and digestion of primary sources to complete content preparation."

A professional in the field of intellectual property rights told NBD that based on the current news reports, the possibility of the host of With Hui constituting copyright infringement is relatively small. "The statements about the master-apprentice system and the sculpture pictures are also hard to prove their originality."
