On January 29, the official website of the Fujian Provincial Department of Education issued an announcement stating that according to relevant regulations, after expert investigation and evaluation, the following matters are now being made public: the proposed application of Fuyao University of Science and Technology (temporary name): the proposed application type is "ordinary undergraduate ", and the nature of the school is "private".

Cultivating urgently needed talents for domestic manufacturing industry

According to the official website of Fuyao University of Science and Technology, it is a comprehensive research-oriented university with science and engineering as its main focus. It is sponsored by the Heping Charity Foundation with Fuzhou High-tech Zone providing land. Cao Dewang donated 10 billion yuan to build the university, which will set up seven departments (departments): School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, School of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Vehicles and Transportation, School of Environment and Ecology, School of Economics and Management, and Department of Basic Teaching. It plans to start enrolling students in 2024.

I promise to society that the university is non-profit."
