Recently, the AE200, an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) developed by AEROFUGIA, a company in Chengdu High-tech Zone, completed its first flight under the witness of the Civil Aviation Administration of Southwest China.

It has a wingspan of 14.5 meters, a height of 4.6 meters, a length of 9 meters, and a standard cabin that can accommodate one pilot and four passengers. The maximum range is 200 to 300 kilometers.

The flying car AE200 project has entered a new stage of development, and is expected to be the first to launch eVTOL business aviation travel in Chengdu.

Fei Lan, the marketing director of AEROFUGIA, introduced that last year, the company carried out a series of experiments and validations, completed a number of key technology tests and test flights, and achieved a number of key results such as hover test flight, ground full tilt test, and small angle tilt test flight.

The successful maiden flight of the AE200 is a major milestone for AeroFugia and for the Chinese eVTOL industry as a whole. It demonstrates the country's growing capabilities in the field of aviation technology and paves the way for the commercialization of eVTOL aircraft in China.
