The China Padel Tour (CPT), a top-level domestic padel tennis tournament, is scheduled to be held this year at the Lujiatan Sports Park in Wenjiang District, Chengdu.

This will also be the first time that Chengdu has hosted a CPT-300 level padel competition.

What is "padel"?

Padel originated in Mexico in 1969 and is one of the fastest growing emerging sports in the world in recent years. It combines the characteristics of several racket sports such as tennis, squash, badminton, and table tennis.

Why is it to be held in Chengdu?

The Lujiatan Sports Park is the latest unique landmark in Wenjiang District, Chengdu, which has the most "sports flow" and "fitness experience".

The padel center is built according to international event standards, with a total of 12 fully enclosed padel tennis courts, including 10 outdoor courts and 2 indoor courts. It is also the first venue in China that meets the CPT-300 event hosting standards.

As the only national model district for public sports and fitness in Sichuan Province, Wenjiang District will further promote the development and utilization of spatial resources and the transformation of ecological and humanistic values, and continue to promote the comprehensive development of sports and sports industry.
