On the morning of February 8, a large number of young men and women carrying resumes swarmed to the job fair hosted by Spring Airlines in Shanghai.

Six positions - cabin attendants, safety supervisors, maintenance engineer trainees, ground crew, algorithm engineers and software development engineers - are open, with more than 300 people expected to be recruited.

This is the first of Spring Airlines' recruitment fairs this year and also the first large-scale offline recruitment event held by domestic airlines after the epidemic, attracting nearly 1,000 job seekers.

Looking ahead, Spring Airlines will hold offline job fairs in Shanghai, Lanzhou, Jieyang and other cities.

"For cabin attendants, in addition to good looks, confidence in the civil aviation industry also matters," a person in charge of the recruitment said to thepaper.cn. In addition, with the resumption of international routes, proficiency in English is also very important, so applicants have to take an English writing test on the spot.

It was revealed that if they pass the final retest and physical examination and finally get the cabin attendant job, the monthly salary will be more than 10,000 yuan, and the figure will be around 25,000 yuan for chief attendants.

During the Spring Festival, Spring Airlines carried about 2.7 million passengers, and the number of flights has recovered to about 88% of 2019's level.

Of that, the number of International routes has restored to 24, with the flights from Shanghai to Singapore, Ningbo/Nanchang/Jieyang-Bangkok to be resumed in February. It is expected that the number will reach 30 then.

"This year, we will continue to introduce new aircrafts, and hope to attract college students with good foreign language skills to prepare for the recovery of international flights," said Xiao Fei, assistant general manager of Spring Airlines' Human Resources Department.
