The city of Qingdao in east China's Shandong Province was voted as the competition site for the 2019/20 season Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) playoffs at a club general managers' meeting on Tuesday.

The CBA playoffs are scheduled to commence on July 30. Winners in the round of 12 and quarterfinals will be decided through a single match, while the semifinals and final will adopt a best-of-three format.

The CBA resumed after a COVID-19-induced hiatus on June 20, with all remaining regular season games to be played either in Qingdao or the southern Chinese city of Dongguan.
