July 10 (NBD) -- Guo Guangchang's resignation as a non-executive Director of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. (Fosun Pharma, 600196.SH) was made official and the list of the company's Board of Directors got updated recently.

In March this year, Fosun Pharma announced Guo proposed to resign as a non-executive Director and from other duties as the work arrangement would be more focused on Fosun group. Industry insiders at the time believed that Guo intended to retire from the leading post, because he had stepped down as chairman from several subsidiaries of Fosun group since last year.
