July 5 (NBD) -- Computer software company DHC Software Co., Ltd. (002065.SZ) Thursday upped its performance forecast for the first half of this year, predicting its net profit for the period to be 319-380 million yuan (48.4-57.4 million U.S. dollars), down 48 percent to 38 percent from the same period of last year.

In the previous forecast released on April 24, the company said the metric for the January-June period would drop by 57.56 percent to 44.50 percent from a year ago.

Regarding the performance change, the software maker explained proceeds from the sale of its stake in big data solution provider Beijing Tongtech Co., Ltd. (300379.SZ) helped boost the performance in the first six months of 2017.
