June 27 (NBD) -- Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Co., Ltd. ("Zhangjiang Hi-Tech", 600895.SH) hadn't yet had any contact with the electric car maker Tesla, the hi-tech industrial area developer said on Tuesday, in response to investors' concerns over whether the Shanghai-listed company is seeking partnership with Tesla, such as inviting Tesla to set up a R&D center at Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park.

Zhangjiang Hi-Tech also underlined that the company had been expanding its footprint through investing in leading tech companies directly or indirectly via some industry funds.

In this manner, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech invested in online financial service supplier Ant Financial, cloud computing firms Qiniu Cloud and CloudWalk, restaurant booking app Meiweibuyongdeng and so on and so forth.
