Virscend Education, a Hong Kong listed enterprise engaging in education services, invested in Babycare.cn, an education service provider for children aged zero to six years.

The investment details haven't been disclosed.

With the implementation of "Two-child" policy, it is estimated that newborn babies will amount to over 17 million in years to come. Education-related enterprises eye the market potential in baby-care service sectors.

Virscend Education is among the large education service providers in Southwest China, operating five K12 (kindergarten to 12th grade) schools and a university in Chengdu.

Babycare.cn currently operates nearly 1,000 baby centers across China, and it previously raised investment from private equity firms including Prax Capital, the CID Group and Temasek Holdings’s arm, Vertex Ventures China.
