CHENGDU, Feb. 17 (NBD) -- Latest figures indicate that Zhang Yin, founder of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited, has become the second richest business woman in Mainland China, amassing an estimated fortune of 46 billion HK dollars (6 billion US dollars).
Analysis attributes Zhang's wealth growth to the rising share price of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited. According to history figures, Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited closed at 6.162 HK dollars (0.795 US dollar) per share on August 15, 2016 and remained buoyant to close at a price of 9.3 HK dollars (1.2 US dollars) on Thursday.
Zhang Yin once overtook Huang Guangyu to top the Forbes rich list for Mainland China in 2007, establishing herself as the first female to take the crown in China's wealth ranking. She succeeded in 2009 and 2010 leading Hurun Report rich list for female in China before being challenged and exceeded. Her wealth shrank considerably by 36% in 2011 but still one of the largest for consecutive years.
Established in 1995, Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited is the world's leading paper manufacturer in environmentally and friendly paper recycling sector. The company primarily produces linerboard, high performance corrugating medium and coated duplex board.
