CHENGDU, Feb. 15 (NBD) -- Izzy Zhu, former vice president of Lexus China, will join NextEV as vice president, said a source with the electric car startup. 

Acclaimed as a great brand story teller, Zhu will take charge of NextEV's marketing, branding, and public relations work.  

He has rich experience in brand marketing. Under his leadership, Lexus and MINI both achieved great success in redefining brand images in China. 

This year, NextEV will introduce the EP9 in China. The first all-electric supercar under the NIO name, the model features a two-seat design, and requires only 2.7 seconds to sprint from zero to 100km/h.
