CHENGDU, Jan. 22 (NBD) -- China's new-energy vehicle market will embrace explosive growth over the next three to five years. 

Fuel-cell vehicles likely represent the development direction of the industry, according to a big data research report China's future models, jointly released by ifeng.com and Nielsen on January 18. 

New-energy vehicles have a series of advantages, including environmental friendliness, low cost of ownership, and strong policy boost. 

The report also says that autonomous vehicles are expected to become mainstream over the next 10 to 15 years.
