CHENGDU, Jan.6 (NBD) -- In 2016, the gross production value of forestry in China exceeds 6 trillion yuan (873 billion US dollars) for the first time. The export and import value of forestry products stand at 136 billion US dollars.

China has become the largest producer, exporter, and at the same time largest consumer of forest products worldwide.

Forest industry includes wood flooring, forest tourism, trading of flower and nursery stocks, and emission inventory. It covers different industrial, agriculture and service sectors and is important for China's overall economy.
