CHENGDU, Dec. 29 (NBD) -- The mobile game ranked first in terms of the number of users and the sales volume, compared with the client game and the web game from Jan. to Jun., according to the report on China's games industry.

From Jan. to Jun., the number of users and the sales volume reached 405 million and 37.48 billion yuan (5.39 billion US dollars), up 10.7% and 79.1% year on year, respectively.

NBD notices, among the typical cases of listed companies acquiring game companies in the second half this year, most targets engage in mobile games or leisure chess games.

Ni Shuang, the game analyst with Pacific Securities, told NBD that game companies actually have almost equal profitability. The key lies in the cash flow of these companies. Cash flow of game companies, especially mobile game companies, stands very high with lots of players and users topping up.

Ni revealed, great development potentials exist in mobile games. More hardcore mobile games are likely to be developed and increasingly higher quality requirements need to be met. Against such background, the game industry will be stable yet contain intensive competition after several years of development.

When asked about how to seize the opportunities for game companies, Ni said, game companies today have opportunities, in particular those enriched with traditional technologies. Such companies will have evident edges over others when faced with intensifying competitions in the coming years. The market favors companies with excellent game production, deep understanding of user preference, capability of game improvement and market promotion. Current game industry has developed a good environment, differing from former conditions where anyone in the game industry can make money.
