On Thursday, the International Procurement (Engineering) Conference and Import and Export Credit Matching Meeting, hosted jointly by Export-Import Bank of China (EIBC) and Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, was held in Hangzhou.

The meeting witnessed the signing of international procurement (engineering) commercial contracts worth 10.22 bln US dollars and export and import loan agreement of intent worth 5.33 bln US dollars.

According to an EIBC official, the above contracts cover sectors including oil refining, hydropower, fiber-optic communication, new energy, shipbuilding, bio-pharmaceuticals and security and safety equipment. The signing and implementation of these projects are the beginning for Zhejiang to expand and upgrade its high-value industrial chains, which would play a vital role in promoting the engineering integration of international projects in Zhejiang.
