CHENGDU, Dec. 8 (NBD) -- The Supreme People's Court of China adjudged on Thursday that a Chinese sportswear and shoe manufacturer infringed on NBA champion Michael Jordan's prior right of name, violated Chinese Trademark Law as well.

But the court ruled the Qiaodan Sports Co. to continue using the name "Qiaodan" or "qiaodan" in Pinyin，the most widely-used Latin alphabet system of writing Mandarin Chinese.
