On the evening of April 25th, NBD reported that ByteDance denied rumors of exploring the sale of TikTok. The company stated that it has no plans to sell TikTok. However, prior to this, The Information had reported that ByteDance was indeed exploring options to sell a majority stake in TikTok’s U.S. business, preferably to a non-tech industry company and excluding the algorithm responsible for recommending videos to TikTok users.
