On the morning of April 19th, Wang Yunpeng, after assuming the role of Vice President of Baidu Group and President of the Intelligent Driving Business Group, issued his first all-staff letter. In the letter, Wang stated that Baidu Apollo will focus on four major battles: completing the construction of the autonomous driving base model, turning the gross profit of Appolo Go positive and running through the business model, leading in user experience and cost-effectiveness with intelligent driving cabin products, and outperforming the market with differentiated competition and market share growth for Baidu Maps. Wang revealed that Baidu is about to release an integrated hand-car map product, which will help 300 million vehicles to discard their phone holders.
