It is 50 days away from the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, which will be held from April 26 to October 28, 2024, lasting for 186 days.

The main venue is located in Chengdu Eastern New Area, showcasing the future park city. The four sub-venues in Wenjiang District, Pidu District, Xinjin County, and Qionglai City will highlight the features of Sichuan-style bonsai, flower industry, agricultural expo, and biodiversity respectively.

This is the first time that the highest-level international flower and horticulture exhibition has come to Chengdu. Chengdu is also the second city in Southwest China to host the World Horticultural Expo after Kunming in 1999. 

In the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, a total of 112 exhibition gardens will be built. In addition, the city has invited top industry associations such as the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization, and Cornell Botanic Gardens in the United States to participate in the exhibition.

What can this park city under the snow-capped mountains gain from this “Olympic” event in the horticulture field?

NBD noticed that there might be three aspects of urban effects: first, the enhancement of new consumption scenarios will bring more green and beneficial consumption experience; second, it will continue to empower the industrial economy; finally, this event will also provide Chengdu with an important platform for communication and exchanges, and promote the city’s higher level of opening up.
