Hema Fresh, a Chinese fresh food retailer, will close 6-7 stores in China in the first half of 2024, said an insider of the company to NBD. The closures are due to a combination of factors, including expiring property leases and underperforming locations.

Hema Fresh currently operates over 360 stores in China. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2024, bringing its total store count to over 400.
