January 3 (NBD) -- Chengdu, hometown of panda and the happiest Chinese city for 14 consecutive years, made the headlines again on December 29 due to continued overseas influence-building efforts. On the day, the 2022 Overseas Influence Analysis Report of Chinese Cities was co-released by Reference News and Xinhua News's information center.

Chengdu was not only selected as an international communication pioneer city, but also made its way into the Ten Pioneering Chinese Cities in Building Global Image and Successful cases in International Communication of Chinese Cities, becoming one of the good tellers of Chinese stories.

In 2022, Chengdu gained large amount of global attention. Based on its comprehensive city power and unique Tianfu culture, Chengdu is gaining strength in global communication.
