Dec. 13 (NBD) -- A nationwide vaccine traceability system shall be established by March 31, 2020 to make ensure all vaccines available on the market could be traceable, according to a circular released on Thursday. 

Jointly published by the National Medical Products Administration and National Health Commission of China, the circular says the program will be first piloted in Beijing, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hainan and Chongqing. 

The first pilot regions shall complete the traceability systems and link them with the coordination platform set up by the National Medical Products Administration by December 31, 2019, and upload the vaccine information in their respective areas ranging from production, circulation to vaccinations to the platform by January 31, 2020 for whole-process traceability.
