Chinese researchers have developed a comprehensive software for multi-omic and evolutionary analyses, providing a free cloud platform for researchers in the field of biological study.

With the fast development of genome sequencing technology, genome-wide sequences of more biological species have been conducted, and the multi-omic data has shown explosive growth. Efficient mining and deep analysis of the expanding multi-omic data has become increasingly challenging for biologists.

Developed by the Beijing Institute of Genomics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), CAS Key Laboratory of Computational Biology and other institutions, the multi-functional software combines the power of cloud computing and the advantage of a desktop application, enabling users to perform comprehensive multi-omic and evolutionary analyses. It has a user-friendly graphic interface and is highly interactive.

The software and the cloud platform are free online. A paper on the software was published online in the journal National Science Review.
