July 11 (NBD) -- China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (600115.SH) announced Wednesday that it plans to raise no more than 11.8 billion yuan (1.8 billion U.S. dollars) from JuneYao Airlines, JuneYao Group and/or designated subsidiaries, and China Structural Reform Fund through private placement.

The money raised will be used to buy 18 planes, 15 flight simulators, and 20 stand-by engines, according to the filing of the airline company.
