July 6 (NBD) -- China Communications Construction Company Limited (601800.SH) announced Friday that the company has halted work on Malaysia's East Coast Railway Link (phase Ⅰ) upon the notification of the project owner Malaysia Rail Link. But how long the suspension will last is not clear yet.

The Chinese contractor said it will protect the company's legal interests according to the agreement signed by both parties. It is estimated that the suspension will not have a major impact on its operating revenue in 2018.
