Kelun Group Chairman Liu Gexin delivered a speech at the Industrial Development Conference for National Central City, Chengdu held on Sunday. Liu said that the decision of Chengdu to build modern industrial system and to expand advanced manufacturing industry is both visionary and influential.

Liu applauded for Chengdu's proposal to develop advanced manufacturing industry. According to Liu, bio-pharmaceutical industry is one of the world's seven strategic emerging industries.

NBD reporter noticed that Chengdu has previously put forward to the idea that the pillar industry should forge ahead to high-end, high-quality and high-tech industries from mid-and low-end ones.

Liu advised that Chengdu should continue to foster a healthy market environment which is beneficial for pharmaceutical industry, considering the important role it plays in the course of building Chengdu a national central city. Liu hoped that Chengdu would support pharmaceutical enterprises which are willing to innovate and have the capability to innovate.

Liu told NBD that the bio-pharmaceutical industry is in an advantageous position in terms of resources and talents among strategic emerging industries in Chengdu. Besides, there exist many competitive products in bio-pharmaceutical industry. He believed that such industry will play a more significant role in future (in Chengdu's development).
