China's southwestern city Chengdu will be adding 1209 bicycle parking zones across the city this year, according to a recent work programme issued by the municipal government to further reinforce the management of mobile-based shared bikes, which have been rolled out up to 500,000 units in the Sichuan's capital city.
The first 253 of these designated bicycle parking areas are now available to non-motor vehicle users at the 84 exits of Chengdu metro line 1, 2, 3 and 4. The second batch of the parking zones is expected to be releasedby10th July.
