The first speech of iSEED talks, the TED-alike event in Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone, was held in Tianfu Software Park on Sunday.

The "iSEED" stands for Inspiring, Sharing, Entertaining, Encouraging and Developing, meaning that spreading seeds of science.

Dr. Li Zhizhong, known as an expert in the field of new anti-cancer drug R&D, give a speech with a topic of "Cancer, Different from What You Think" to share his view of nature and research fronts of cancer, identification of rumors about cancer and correct thoughts about the disease. 

The iSEED talks are planning to invite 17 experts from to offer 9 talks this year. Every two-hour iSEED talk will invite 2 experts and be held in the afternoon.
