The seminar, titled by "Ramping up the Internet Speed and Security at A Working Place" was held last week in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province by the Southwest China Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce.

"SD-WAN", as a new internet technology which connects data centers and multinational branch offices to deliver fast and safe WAN services, became the heated topic at the seminar.

Dragon Sino IT team members said at the seminar that internet security is becoming the severe constraint on enterprises' development. According to Dragon Sino, enterprise loses caused by hacker attacks globally amounted to 400 billion U.S. dollars. It is estimated by Forbes columnist Steve Morgan that capital expenditure incurred by cyber crimes will reach 2 trillion U.S. dollars in 2019.

Aryaka, a SD-WAN company that provides software-defined network connectivity and application delivery, expressed its intention at the seminar to enter the Chengdu market, which would invigorate the development of internet security in Chengdu.

It's predicted that 30% of enterprises across the world will use SD-WAN technology by 2019, according to Gartner, a U.S. research and advisory firm.

SD-WAN quickly wins the heart of enterprises since it's available on the market. And it is likely to become the next-generation WAN. With more SD-WAN companies to follow Aryaka's step to settle in Chengdu, blue ocean opportunities are taking shape here.
