CHENGDU, Feb. 16 (NBD) -- Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) held the signing and groundbreaking ceremonies Wednesday in UESTC, to establish an international Jingrong innovation center with joint efforts. 

The collaborative initiative based on "Stanford plus Silicon Valley" model is made to expedite the upgrading of Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and UESTC to world-class standard. 

Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and UESTC will create and cooperate on six major programs in future innovation center, for international studies on neuroinformatics, advanced wireless communication technology and others, combined with twenty interdisciplinary research bases to be built as well in the center for big data, robot, geoinformatics, integrated circuit and more.
